What Is RIASEC?
RIASEC is a model of vocational interests developed by psychologist John L. Holland. It groups work-related interests into 6 categories: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and Conventional.
The model has been used in vocational psychology since the 1970s and remains the theoretical basis for the O*NET Interest Profiler, the career-interest instrument the U.S. Department of Labor publishes today.
