Holland Code

A 3-letter code (like "SIA") showing a person's top three RIASEC vocational interests, used to match people to occupations.

Career counselors and databases like O*NET use Holland Codes as shorthand: every occupation is tagged with its own RIASEC code, so a person's code can be matched against thousands of jobs at once.

A Holland Code measures interest, not skill or personality traits in general, it answers "what kind of work would you enjoy," not "what are you good at" or "how do you handle stress."
